The 15th Medieval Festival of Rhodes is an homage to the departure of the Knights Hospitaller [Order of Knights of the Hospital of Saint John of Jerusalem] from the Dodecanese in 1522, a landmark year for the historical and cultural development of Rhodes. Thε homage aims at making this part of local history known and highlights the cultural transition of local society. This contributes to better comprehending our cultural heritage, as shaped by this event, and to educate through quality recreational events in compliance with the mission of the Medieval Festival.
